Howard D. Broemsen, age 93, died Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a life resident of the Canton/Louisville area, 1942 graduate of Louisville High School, retired from Diebold Inc. and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Howard was a World War II Army veteran and then joined the Air Force Survived by his wife of 67 years, Eleanor (Moulin) Broemsen, daughters, Marcia (Gregory) Smith of Grapevine, Texas, Patricia Eschman of Canton and Barbara Eliopoulos of Lorain, son, Alan Broemsen of Canton, grandchildren, Stacy Cardillo, Scott Broemsen, Stephanie Claugus, Alexis Costa, Christine Prohonic, Andrea Keffer, Nicole Williams, Sara Wanner, Shannon Eschman, Kara O'Rourke and Andrew and Anthony Eliopoulos and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Elnora Pumneo and brothers, Eldon, Ralph and Robert Broemsen. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a service at 11 a.m. with Seminarian Ryan Furlong officiating. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church.
