Jane Zaleski, 67, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 4, 1958, in Canton, Ohio, and was a proud 1976 graduate of Canton South High School.
Jane lived a life filled with joy, purpose, and a deep love for others. She enjoyed music and had a beautiful gift for singing, often lifting the spirits of others with her voice. She loved playing pickleball with her friends at Perry Christian and also her Saturday afternoon ladies group, spending time in her pool, and sharing laughter and sunshine with the people she cherished most.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. Jane loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus, and her gentle witness touched countless hearts. She adored her family and poured her love into every moment she spent with them.
Jane also had a tremendous heart for animals. She was a devoted rescuer, always ready to open her home and her heart to any creature in need. Her compassion was one of her greatest gifts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Dolores Zaleski.
Jane is survived by her loving sisters, Brenda (Mike) Lopez, Joan Zaleski, Bernadette (Todd) Sullivan; brother, Brian (Kelli) Zaleski; as well as her nieces and nephews who brought her endless joy: Trish, Zachary, Madison, Hannah, Logan, Olivia, Marissa, Sam, Noelle, and Arlo; and her beloved cat, Grace. Their lives are forever shaped by her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A service will follow immediately at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
