Janet L. Mccoy

Janet L. McCoy passed away peacefully at age 95 on November 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, E. Jason McCoy, brother James Lynn and her parents Janet and William D. Lynn. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, lived in Canton and at Atwood Lake before moving to Florida in 2007. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 1944 with a degree in Chemistry. She loved sailing, beaches, sunsets and, most of all, spending time with her family. Janet is survived by her daughter Margie (Bobby) Mapes of Canal Winchester, and her sons Rick (Debbie) McCoy of Westerville and Brad (Dawn) McCoy of Charlottesville, Va, along with her grandchildren Kris (Andrea) and Aimee Mapes, E Jason, Jenna, Bryan and Kayleigh McCoy and her great-grandson Ian Mapes, as well as her special niece Karin Lynn. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care by the staff at Ganzhorn Memory Care and Hospice of Central Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Oh 43058. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
