Janice Kay Hissong

Janice Kay Hisson, 86, of North Canton, Ohio, passed away on December 23, 2025. She was born in Cambridge City, Indiana on September 26, 1939, daughter of the late Forest Robert and Mary Ellen (Boyer) Leapley.

She was a devoted homemaker whose life was centered around caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Those who knew her will remember her kindness and the love she poured into the everyday moments that made life meaningful.

She is survived by daughter, Julie Wineman; stepdaughter, Melissa Hissong; and stepson, Mark Hissong. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Janice is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russell Hissong and son, John Robert Clapp.

Fulfilling Janice’s final wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Forever, her light and love will continue to warm the lives of those who loved her. The family encourages others to honor her memory by spending time with the people they love.
