Jean M (Chismar) Fletcher

Jean M. Fletcher age 94, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 26, 1931 in Canton, Ohio, she lived a long, full life.

A woman whose heart was firmly rooted in family and friendship, Jean was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her warmth extended to all who knew her. She found great joy in a good conversation and a shared laugh. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and her relationships were the center of her life.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Amanda) Fletcher; grandchildren, Hannah, Audrey, Nathan, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Natalie, and Graham; and several friends with whom she shared decades of loyalty, laughter, and shared memories.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, James Fletcher; daughter, Gayle Dallas; and sister, Matilda Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Christ the Servant Parish on Monday, February 9, 2026, where family and friends gathered to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society in her memory.
