Jeanne A. Shaw

Jeanne A. Shaw, 91, died Tuesday. She was a life resident of Canton, graduate of Lincoln High School, attended Kent State University and was a graduate of Malone University. Jeanne retired in 1981 after 30 years as a teacher from the Canton City Schools where she taught at Hartford, Gibbs and Clarendon Schools. She had been a member of the former Bethel Lutheran Church and a life member of the Stark County Retired Teachers and Ohio Education Association. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Shaw and son, John E. Shaw. Survived by her cousins, Beverly Tomer, Donna Phillips and Teresa Stein. Friends may call Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Pastor Darla Ann Kratzer officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice.
