JENNIFER LYNN HOFFER
Jennifer Lynn Hoffer of Canton, Ohio, passed away at Mercy Cleveland Clinic on December 23, 2022, at the age of 85, surrounded by loving family. She was born to the late Paul Hartman Kinnen and Julia Gaynell (Brown) Kinnen on October 10, 1937 in Lancaster, Ohio.
Together with her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, John Hoffer; grandson, Max Hoffer; and brother, James Kinnen.
Jennifer was one of the most caring and compassionate people this world could hold. She graduated from Good Samaritan School of Nursing, with the class of 1958. Working as a RN for Aultman Hospital, she was an outward-focused nurse, who was emotionally connected with her patients. She had a passion for animals, especially cats, and rescued countless special kitties. She was a long-time member of St. Michael's Parish. She greatly enjoyed rooting for the Guardians, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and any team that her children and grandchildren were on. She enjoyed traveling, history, all things Ohio, books, and spending time with her family, friends, and caregivers, including Jen. She showed her family by example what it meant to be a loving mother who lived by "family always comes first", a sentiment that we will cherish and live by. Life is Good!
Jennifer leaves precious memories to those who survive; daughter, Theresa (Mike) Howenstine of Independence; sons, Paul (Christine) Hoffer of Davenport. Florida, James Hoffer of Plantation, Florida, and David Hoffer of Canton; grandchildren, Christian and wife, Darcie, Alethea, Matthew, Garrett, Molly, and Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, John, Thomas, and Lorelei.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Monday, January 2, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton.
