Joan Balla

Joan Balla, age 88, born March 24, 1928 to the late John and Mary Langworthy passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was a life resident of Canton and a 1946 graduate of McKinley High School. Joan was employed as a key punch operator at the Timken Company for several years. She was a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. She enjoyed Fidelity Tour trips with friends, drawing, embroidering and working in her yard. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Balla, daughter, Susan Balla, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Balla and her beloved grandsons, Mitchell and Evan Balla all of Canton. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with The Very Reverend Ronald Klingler officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
