Joan C. Hinton

Joan C. Hinton passed away peacefully the morning of June 22, 2025. She was 90. Born October 8, 1934 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Mildred (Bieyl) Sheridan who preceded her in death. Together with her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hinton.

A wealth of knowledge Joan had a great sense of humor and was very witty. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Her life was filled with the joy of creating a warm and loving household. Her kindness knew no limits, blessing those who received and her, as the giver.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Karen (John) Phillippi of Louisville, Ohio, Kristen (Vince) Lu of Scarsdale, New York; son, Kevin (Ann) Hinton of North Canton, Ohio; and grandchildren, Jimmy Hinton, Alex and James Lu. Shared moments, big or small, will remain in our hearts forever.

A Graveside Service will be held at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Canton, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Deacon Michael Seaman will preside.
