John Bryan Calhoun born March 28, 1972 passed away January 24, 2022. John was born to Katherine Calhoun(deceased) and William Calhoun. He is survived by his wife Nancy Calhoun, his parents William and Anita Calhoun, brothers and a sister-in-law, Roger Forrester and Will and Terri Calhoun, a brother in law Jeffrey Boerner , and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. John was a 1990 McKinley High School graduate. After high school, John completed a certification course in sound production at The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe Ohio. Later on in life he took some college classes at Stark State. Along with his varied interests, he was always interested in helping people achieve their goals. To that end John worked at several group homes in the area, serving the developmentally disadvantaged. John also moonlighted with his DJ service, Calhoun Entertainment . Spinning those tunes to celebrate various occasions made him happy. While spinning those tunes, John found himself attracted to sound engineering. John worked with various ministries, bands and organizations running sound he often acted as a roadie or driver when needed. John had a brief stint with with Blue Apple Mountain Players from TN. John always encouraged anyone to pursue their passion. He was always networking with bands and soloists in the local and regional area and booking gigs in various venues. Being influenced by so much creativity, John wrote and recorded some original songs of his own. He recorded with local producers such as Chris Wintrip and Mark Townsend. John always had high aspirations and wanted to share them with others. John was a sweet , kind, loving, caring soul . He was generous to a fault often at his own expense. He was a wonderful Godly husband and friend. We will all miss him terribly and look forward to meeting him again on the other side. Services will be held at a later date.
