John R. Cauley, age 86, died Wednesday after a brief illness. Born in West Homestead, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Canton since 1984. John was retired from Timken Research and a member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Concorde Coffee Club and enjoyed woodcarving. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Survived by his wife, Carol Cauley, daughters, Kathleen (Stan) Martin, Eileen (Dwayne) Blake and Paula Jean (Robert) Henderson, step-daughters, Joanne (Dan) Haren, Terrie Shaheen, Karen (Bob) McDonald, Betty (Rick) Kackley, Carol Lynne (Mike) Miday and Joyce (Rocky) Mellie, stepson, David (Lisa) Lidderdale, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Patricia (Jim) Hein, brothers, James (Nancy) Cauley and Bill (Carole) Cauley and sister-in-law, Marion Cauley. Preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine (Palian) Cauley and brothers, Kenneth and Russell Cauley. Friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will be in North Canton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson research.
