John T. "Jack" Rose, Sr., age 94, died Sunday. Born in Dennison, he had lived in Canton most of his life, attended St. John High School and was a retired Sales Representative from the M. Conley Company after 47 years. Jack was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton), former member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist and a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and the McKinley Eagles. Survived by his wife, Donna (Gill) Zwick Rose, children, Jack (Denise) Rose Jr., Cindy (Steve) Collins, Pamela Rose and Michael Rose, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, step children, Kathy (Richard) Kettler, Bob Zwick and Anne Roach, eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty J. (Janson) Rose, sister, Dorothy Bolus and brother, Richard Rose. The family would like to thank the Sisters and staff of the House of Loreto for their care. Friends may call Thursday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist with the Very Reverend John Sheridan, STL-Rector as celebrant. Burial in Saint John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the House of Loreto.
