John J. "Jack" Walsh, born August 16, 1933, to Thomas J. and Helen M. Walsh, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2018 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Canton, Jack was a proud veteran of the US Air Force who served during the Korean Conflict. Jack retired after 35 years of service with AT&T, was a longtime coach of youth athletics in North Canton, and was a friend of Bill W. for thirty three years. Jack's unique sense of humor endeared him to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, beloved son Paul, brother Thomas, and son-in-law Edward Allman. Survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Fran Scott Walsh, daughter Jackie Walsh Allman of Canton, sons John (Kim) of Fredericktown, Kevin (Cathy) of Columbus, Jeffrey of Harrisburg, PA, daughter-in-law Jennifer Walsh of Carrollton, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
