John K. 'Jack' Wright

Mr John ' Jack' Wright 89, of Perry Twp, formerly of Carrollton, OH passed away in the home of his devoted daughter, Mrs.Cathy(Paul David) Prosser on May 20, 2017. He was born in Georgetown, IL and the son of the late Harley and Anna Laura Wright. He is also survived by his daughter, Jackie Wright, son John Jr (Sherry) brother Larry (Wanda) Wright, and his sister Violet Johnson. Grandchildren Shandra Stewart, Rainey Wright, Summer Wright, Brooke (Clint) Huffman, and Kanda Roof. Great Grandchildren Daryl Miller, Drake Stewart, Bella Bergeron, Hailey Wright and one Great Great grandchild, Nevaeh Miller. Jack as he was known to all his friends was a proud Army Veteran and served in World War II. He was a self employed carpenter most of his life and really loved his trade so much that he worked well into his 70's. He really never could sit still. He was a loving father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. They came first and foremost. His grandchildren will always remember him by his humor and the funny songs he made up and sang to them. Jack was married to the love of his life Anna 'Annie' Mae Roberts on August 8, 1947 until her passing August 20, 2001. They lived in the Carrollton area for over 40 years until his health started to decline and he moved to the Canton area. He managed to live on his own for several years until he moved in with his daughter Cathy. Jack was placed on hospice care in April. He passed peacefully with Cathy and Shandra by his side. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donation be made to Lamiell Funeral Home to defray funeral costs.
