Josephine “Joey” (Keffler) Franey

Josephine "Joey" (Keffler) Franey, age 92, died Monday. She was a life resident of Canton, graduate of Saint John High School, retired from Stark Technical College and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. "Bud" Franey, parents, Edward and Martha Keffler and a brother Robert Keffler. Survived by her sons, Timothy Franey of Winterville, North Carolina and Terence (Brenda) Franey of South Portland, Maine, grandchildren, Brigid Smith-Franey, Tara Lee Franey, Brian Franey and Craig Franey, great-grandsons, Benen Franey and Maddox Smith, sister, Sr. Carola Keffler, IHM of Monroe, Michigan and brother and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Dolores Keffler and Ann Keffler all of North Canton. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-5 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 5 p.m. with Father Leo Wehrlin as celebrant. Private entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
