Josephine Helen Lancia Giacomo

Josephine Helen Lancia Giacomo born July 10, 1934, passed away peacefully, December 17, 2025. Her parents, Joseph and Marie Lancia were of Italian descent.

She was a 1952 graduate of Timken High School and was married for 55 years to her beloved husband, Ronald Eugene Giacomo, who passed away in 2009. Her only loving and beautiful daughter, Rita Marie Giacomo Cupari, was laid to rest in 2023.

Josephine, known to everyone as Jo at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Louisville, where she resided for the past 6 years, loved to participate in all the functions, the facility offered to their residents. She was very happy in her surroundings there and was always looking for the chance to be the center of attention. The stories she told of her past experiences were entertaining, to say the least. She will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, St. Joseph Church, Guardian Angels Parish, Canton. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter at Calvary Cemetery.
