JOYCE C. SEMPLE

Joyce C. Semple, passed away June 1, 2024, with her family by her side. She graced this world, family, and friends for 82 years and will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She was born December 30, 1941, in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Leroy and Catherine (Bluman) Nieporte. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by son, Keith Semple, and brother, John Nieporte.

She was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married her best friend, Raymond, and they raised their family sharing faith, love, and memories. Joyce enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and was always there with love, strength, and support.

Joyce will leave many cherished memories to those who survive; her husband of 61 years, Raymond; sons, Lee (Barb) Semple, Craig (Christy) Semple; daughter-in-law, Penny Semple; grandchildren, Shane (Melanie) Semple, Colby Semple, Chloe Semple; great-grandchildren, Connor Semple, Jack Semple; brother, Joseph (Debbie) Nieporte; sister, Joan (Jim) Frank; sisters-in-law, Pam Nieporte Martin, Shirley Wachtel; and brother-in-law, Wayne (Peggy) Semple.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., at Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following visitation, at 12:00 p.m., Christ the Servant Parish, 833 39th Street, NW, Canton. Reverend Scott Kopp will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
