JUDITH F. MARTELL

Judith F. Martell was granted her eternal rest on January 3, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on May 17, 1930, one of eight children, to her late parents, Louis and Magdalena (Kassella) Fredericks. Also preceding Judith in death was her husband, James Martell; sisters, Dorothy and Pauline; and brothers, Sigmond, Casey, Louis, Jerry, and Robert.

Judy learned first and foremost to turn to God. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother and creating a loving, faith-filled Catholic home of warmth, safety, and peace. Her love for others inspired her to share her faith in her community through volunteering at the Samaritan's table, Legion of Mary, Cursillo, and especially as a Eucharistic Minister.

Judith's love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who survive; daughters, Marie (Tony) Isbell, Teresa (Scott) Pickens, Cindy Gansmiller (Dean Cericola); sons, Reverend James J. Martell, David (Brigit) Martell, Michael Martell; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
