Karen Ann Boiano, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at her home in Canton, Ohio, on May 24, 2025. She was 64 years old.

Karen was born on November 23, 1960, in Canton, to her devoted parents, John J. and Mary Jane (Roush) Boiano. A proud graduate of GlenOak High School, Class of 1979, Karen made her mark as a talented and passionate softball player. Her athleticism and competitive spirit shone brightest in one unforgettable game, when she hit a double that drove in three runs and walked off the field victorious against Perry—a moment her father fondly recalled as one of her finest.

A true tomboy at heart, Karen spent her childhood racing dirt bikes and embracing adventure. That same spirit stayed with her throughout life. She later bought herself a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which she rode with pride, and enjoyed cruising in her Toyota Tacoma. Karen also found deep joy and companionship in her beloved dog, Diamond—affectionately called "Cookie"—who was truly her best friend.

Karen had a strong work ethic and was employed for many years by the Heinz Food Company, where she was known for her dedication and reliability.

Karen was preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Jane (Roush) Boiano, and her dear brother, Jeffrey J. Boiano. She is survived by her father, John J. Boiano; her niece, Angela Berardelli—whom Karen loved like a daughter and; her two sisters, Kathy (Stephen) Buddie and Kimberly Berardelli.

In keeping with Karen's wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service.

Lamiell Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with her care and is honored to support the family during this tender time.
