Kathleen Michael Kellogg, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on August 9, 2025 after 79 years of embracing all of the joy from life that she could. A lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, Kathy was born June 4, 1946. Graduating from Oakwood High School in 1964, she would soon meet her future partner Thomas Charles Kellogg and build her beloved family of six children, and twelve grandchildren. The Matriarch of a large and loving family, she still managed to be considered a second Mother to many more over the years. It is estimated that the number of people who called her "Mom" to be in the hundreds.

Kathy's renowned generosity truly knew no bounds. Any call that came to her was answered with a yes, whether that was helping with children, watching your dog, tending to sick friends, or helping with a move. Her tendency to answer affirmatively could also be counted on when you asked her to join you for a Billy Joel concert, to watch her McKinley Bulldogs, or especially to help finish a bottle of Riesling. Kathy's dinner table was always open to anyone who wanted to join. Her Thanksgiving dinners, where she served more than 30 guests on a yearly basis, will be legendary in the Kellogg family for generations.

An accomplished administrator, Kathy finally and reluctantly retired at the age of 75. She utilized her retirement to spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren, seemingly never missing a recital or hockey game no matter the distance needed to travel. Kathy seemed to work more in retirement than she had previously, positively impacting many people's lives in her work at St. Peter's Parish, and the Rhoda Wise House. In retirement, her passion for travel was also allowed to flourish with several trips to Europe, including a trip to The Vatican that fulfilled a lifelong dream. Although many have commented that she never sat still, on Sunday evenings you could count on her sitting still in front of the fireplace that she adored, solving yet another murder mystery. Often described as the sweetest lady anyone had ever met, she was also quick to call you a "Turkey," if she did not care for your behavior, and remained undefeated against anyone that engaged her in a war of practical jokes.

While her work ethic was unsurpassed, her life was defined by her role as Mother, Grandmother, and follower of Christ.

Kathy is survived by her children, Deborah Kelley, Amy Ayotte and husband Michael, Timothy Kellogg and wife Heather, Katherine Kellogg and husband Anish Patel, Meagan Kellogg, Jeffrey Kellogg and wife Stephanie; her sisters Karol Lang, Holly Jeffries, Mary Beth Hambuechen; and her grandchildren Noelle Smith, Aidan Kelley, Samantha Ayotte, Alexa Ayotte, Tucker Singleton, Taylor Singleton, Parson Ainsworth, Emerson Ainsworth, Kix Keener, Bridger Keener; her brothers-in-law Dan Kellogg, Ted Kellogg, and Mike Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kellogg; and parents Paul and Grace Burns.
