Kevin Watters, age 56, died on Aug 16th after a brief battle with cancer. He was a son, brother, husband, father, cousin, and uncle. He was a lifelong resident of the Canton area and a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1984 and an Honor's graduate from Walsh College in 1988. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and following the news and events of the day. He was one-of-a-kind with a great personality. His best qualities were to make people laugh and smile with him and to tell (sometimes outrageous) stories.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Heidi Watters, and his two children, Emily and Michael; his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Watters; his brother, Matthew Watters (Shawn); and his godparents, Aunt Mary Watters and Uncle Jack Walsh. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father Brian Cline as celebrant. Private entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stark County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
