LARRY J. DULY

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, papa, and brother Larry J. Duly, age 71, who passed away on August 4, 2023 in Canal Fulton. He was born on December 11, 1951 in Perrysburg, Ohio to the late George and Mary Jo Duly and grew up in Rossford, Ohio. Larry graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned his MBA from Kent State University. He began his career at Timken Steel in 1974 and proudly worked there for 41 years.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Margaret (Russell) Duly and their four children; Gregory Duly, Jennifer (Travis) Frech, Leighann Duly, and Kristine (Wesley) Keaton. He is lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Adam, Emma, and Benjamin Frech. He is also survived by his three brothers, David (Petra) Duly, Dennis (Ellen) Duly, and Mark (Denise) Duly; Margaret's siblings, Jeannie (Steven) Smith, Kathleen Russell, Mark (Susan) Russell, and Patricia Russell; numerous nieces, nephews; and other beloved relatives and friends.

Larry and Margaret were devoted members of St. Michael Parish in Canton. Larry was an avid reader of non-fiction books, becoming an unofficial expert on the American Civil War. He enjoyed many trips to Gettysburg and always snuck in a stop at a Civil War historical site on every family vacation. Larry was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers. In his retirement, he discovered an interest in woodworking, completing many beautiful projects for his home and family. He loved taking trips with his family, especially long road trips with Margaret. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren, never missing a school or sporting event. Larry will be remembered as a man who was always selflessly giving to others.
