Lilia Ann Boron

Lilia Ann Boron, age 92 of Canton, passed away on December 19, 2021 at her home. Born on April 13, 1929 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Concetta Gasbare. She was a graduate of Timken High School and attended Kent State Canton. She married Robert J. Boron in 1951. Lilia is predeceased by her husband, Robert, brother, Henry Gasbare, and sister, Rita Lutz. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Tscholl of Canton and Joan (Eric) Kirschner of Dublin; sons, Robert (Deborah) Boron and John Boron (Patti Dixon) of Canton, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and sister, Alma Gillogly. Lilia made the world a better place. Her pride and devotion to her family were her driving forces. She was the perfect mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She modeled grace and integrity in every aspect of her life. Lilia lived by always looking forward, not dwelling in the past, and doing the right thing. She loved to travel, go to the theater, garden, and feed the birds. She thoroughly enjoyed playing golf (She had 2 holes in one!), bridge, and mah-jongg with her friends. Lilia was a long time member of Shady Hollow Country Club. She belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church before becoming a parishioner at Christ the Servant Parish. She was a volunteer for The Timken Mercy Service League and was a 45 year part time employee of Encore, her friends' store. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the Servant Parish at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Thursday, December 30, at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held at the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lilia's memory may be made to First Tee of Canton or Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospice.
