Lillian J. Maggiore

Lillian J. Maggiore passed away on June 19, 2018 at the House of Loreto in Canton. Born on November 29, 1931 in Vandergrift, PA to Frank and Mary Troiano. She grew up in Canton and graduated from Lincoln High School. After receiving her R.N. degree from Mercy School of Nursing she married Jerome L. Maggiore on August 29, 1953 and began their family. She was an active member of the Canton Woman's Club and the Timken Mercy Service League. Lil was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Brookside Country Club and Atwood Yacht Club. She loved cooking and enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and sailing. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family. Lil is survived by her husband Jerome Maggiore and children David (Anne) of Brecksville, Joyce (Jeff) Shaw of Columbus, Jeanine (Jerry) Stanislaw of Cincinnati and Robert (Amy) of Canal Fulton; grandchildren Megan (Todd) Cahill, Corbin Shaw, Blake Stanislaw, Katie (Jesse) Shamp, Robbie (Alex) Maggiore, Davis Stanislaw, Tommy Maggiore, Liza Stanislaw and Laura Maggiore; great grandchildren Avery Cahill, Emerson Cahill and Colton Maggiore; brother Dr. Marlin (Marcia) Troiano of Dublin. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the sisters and staff at the House of Loreto. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in The Chapel at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Canton on Saturday June 23rd at 12:30 p.m. with Father Donald King as celebrant. Family will receive guests at 11:30 a.m. Private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the House of Loreto or The Alzheimer's Association.
