Lois Jean Hopple, born January 5, 1939 in Canton, Ohio died July 4, 2021 due to complications from a stroke. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Isabelle (Moock) Hopple, as well as siblings Helen Mary (infant), Jodie, Carol, John, James, Maxine, and Bart. She is survived by brothers David and Gerald (Karen), sister Charlotte, and more than 95 nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. Lois graduated from Central Catholic High School and lived most of her working life in the greater Canton area. She started her cooking/baking career at Timken Mercy Hospital and cooked for several area establishments including Topps' Chalet and Meals on Wheels. She moved to the Wadsworth area in 2011 and became a fixture at the Senior Center. Her hobbies included bowling, quilting, ceramics, trains, clowns, Schnauzers and the Cleveland Indians. Lois' inner strength and determination allowed her to be highly independent and able to live life on her own terms until the last few years of her life. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church followed by a service at 11 a.m. with Very Rev. Canon Christopher Henyk, D. Min. as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Village of St. Edward Foundation or St Jude Children's Hospital.
