LOUANNA MAE VINCI (nee SCHRIMP)

Louanna Mae Vinci (nee Schrimp) was born on September 15, 1933 and left this world April 14, 2025. She was born in Wheeling W Va to Anna Mae (Macklin) and Albert Nickolas Shrimp. She was married to the late Victor Vincent Vinci formerly of Yorkville, OH. They relocated to Canton, where they raised a family together.

Louanna worked for years at Ohio Bell as an information and switchboard operator. She was a constant positive life force that was the center of her family. She was beloved by her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who called her "LouLou". They include: granddaughter Amanda (Kirill) Zelin and daughter, Koraline of St Charles IL; granddaughter Abigail (Antonio) Scassa and children Catalina, Carmen and Antonio of Carrollton OH; grandson Evan Vinci of Indianapolis Ind; granddaughter Claudia Vinci also of Indianapolis; and grandson, Thomas Gustin of Canton OH. She loved cooking and baking with them. She made the best red sauce and meatballs!

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Albert, Earl, Howard, William and infant girl, Lillian and many brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by children Victor (Jennifer) Vinci of Indianapolis IN ; daughter Annette Hexamer (Kevin McBurney) of Massillon OH, and daughter Mari Anne (Carl) Gustin of Canton. Also, Marguerite Talarico, a much beloved sister-in-law; wonderful neighbors Pat and Herb Harsh and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and friends. And of course, Mitzi and Sammi her 2 kitties at home. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, with a brief service following at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
