Louis J. Hanood, age 86, died Sunday. Born in St. Clairsville, Ohio he had lived in the Canton/North Canton area most of his life, graduate of Lincoln High School, a Golden Glove Boxer, U.S. Army veteran serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, attended Canton Business College and was retired from Park Honda. Preceded death by his wife, BonaVere "Bonnie" Hanood, parents, Paul and Rose Hanood and brothers, George, James and Phillip Hanood. Survived by his daughters and a son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Jesus De La Cruz and Johnna Hanood, grandchildren, Matthew, Charles and Johanna De La Cruz, sister, Joyce Tornero and brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Norma Hanood, Paul Hanood, Lois Hanood and Marlene Hanood. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a prayer service at 2 p.m. with Father Edward Beneleit officiating. Private burial will be in Saint John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
