Louis Blair Sims Jr.

Louis Blair Sims Jr. age 68 of Canton, passed away August 27, 2016. Blair graduated from Timken Vocational High School, served in the United States Air Force, and retired from Republic Steel. He was enshrined in the Greater Stark County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame for Fumbleball in 2001. Blair loved to fish, enjoyed all sports, and spending time with family. Preceded in death by parents Lois and Louis Sims Sr. Survived by Cindy Sims and children- Gail Fontes (Richard), Tobey Sims (Brenda), Colette Owens (Justin), and Shallyn Sims; grandchildren – Leo, Nate, and Josh Fontes and Malcolm Owens; sister – Terrie Jordan (John); niece- Lisa Sims; and a multitude of family and friends. Services will be Friday at 12pm at Lamiell Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 11am-12pm.
