Margaret (Peg) Dager, 74, of Canton, surrounded by loving family peacefully closed her book of life, on Thursday August 11, 2016. After 50 wonderful years of marriage, Donald will greatly miss her passion of reading, and the sound of her flipping page after page, of book after book. He'll miss her pencil scratching while doing daily crossword puzzles, her love of music, dancing, and life. But most of all, he will forever adore her beautiful eyes, warm smile, tender heart and infectious laugh. Peg not only immensely loved, but genuinely LIKED her children Don (of Florida), Christine (Dave) Laylon, Ann, and Dan (Becca), granddaughters Kayla and Kianna, plus too many to name nieces, nephews, and friends, who will forever cherish her memories. Her granddaughters brought her joy like no other. She was extremely proud of those girls, and beamed every moment she spent with them. Peg cherished hundreds of long, intense, late-night, often controversial conversations with the ones dearest to her heart. Pegs passion for politics, and genuine interest in what was important to others, is her beloved trait that not enough people hold. She also really enjoyed 25+ years of watching area kids grow at Leno's, and strived to encourage that you can't judge a book by its cover. Peg was an incredibly strong, amazing, & irreplaceable friend to so many. Peg is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Rosemarie (Ross) Keniray, sisters Jean, Theresa, Christine and 5 infant siblings. She is survived by siblings Thomas (MaryJo), Kathleen (Robert) Belden, and James, all of who she loved dearly, possibly more than life itself! Enjoy your new book Peg!!!!xo Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with The Reverend Ronald Klingler as celebrant.
