Margaret Ann "Peg" Fisher, age 97, passed away on Tuesday at Bethany Nursing Home. She was life resident of Canton, 1940 graduate of Saint John High School and was a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist and Saint John's Guild. Preceded by her husband, Harold Fisher (2003), son, James Fisher (2011), sisters, Catherine Steves, Alice Wade, Emma Schumacher, Julia Hayes and Joan Bennett and brothers, Joseph and Arthur Ballou. Survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Fisher of Canton and Amy and Dan Bahler of North Canton, son, Harold Fisher Jr. of Columbus, grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Gray, Emily Bretfelian, Kristy (Edward) Gooding and Heather (Chris) Shenberger, great-grandchildren, Emma, Justin and Ryan Gooding and Joshua Gray, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Eileen and Donald Hoot of Massillon and sister-in-law, Jo Ballou of Canton. The family would like to thank the staffs of Bethany Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan, STL-Rector as celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint John's Guild.
