Margaret L. Horning

Margaret L. Horning, age 94, died Monday after a short illness. She was a life resident of Canton, 1945 graduate of Lincoln High School and member of Christ the Servant Parish, American Legion Post 44 Ladies Auxiliary and VFW #3747 Ladies Auxiliary. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Horning, sisters, Nellie Vorhees and Hilda Jossi and a brother, Karl Lind. Survived by her daughter, Jill (Gregory) Kelly, sons, Kurt (Andrea) Horning and Keith Horning, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Iva Lind and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Karsen and staff at Crossroads Hospice, caregiver Caitlin and her companion of 20 years, Tom Love. Family and friends will meet on Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish for a Mass of Christian Burial with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Entombment in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ the Servant Parish.
