Margaret J. Shimko, age 27, passed away July 30th. She was a kind, sweet, caring soul who will live on through others with her generous organ donations. She was a life resident of Canton, 2010 graduate of McKinley High School, graduate of Stark State University, employed at The Clary House as a licensed massage therapist and a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Survived by her parents, Ken and Tammy (Whitehouse) Shimko, sisters, Selena (Mike) Rossetti and Charlotte (Tony) Dreher, brother, Eric (Julie) Shimko, nieces, Valerie, Brielle and Madison, nephews, Mitchell and Benjamin, grandparents, Mike and Jane Shimko, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Mary Ellen Whitehouse. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with The Very Reverend John Sheridan, STL-Rector as celebrant. Burial will be in Saint John Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society in Margaret's name.
