Marilyn Ann Burnstad Beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and volunteer passed away Saturday, Sept 17, 2016. She was born November 15, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN. Graduated Class of 1952, College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, MN. Marilyn was a long time member of The Canton Garden Club, Ikebana International, The College Club of Canton, volunteer for United Way, supporter of NAMI, and bridge enthusiast. In addition to her parents and brother Robert Elvin, she is preceded in death by husband Thomas W. Burnstad, Sr. in 1997. Survived by daughters, Mary Catalina and Amy Burnstad Mears; sons (daughters in law) Thomas W. Jr, Roy M. (Mary), Hugh (Terry) and Bob (Dalana); grandchildren Kim (Will), Andrew, Nicole, Nora (Ben), Anna (Jim), Mara, Blake and Brianna; great grandson George; sister in law Mary Jo Elvin; cousin Lynn Clark and many extended family in California. Friends may call on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Lamiell Funeral Home. Memorial Services Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at The Canton Garden Center with Reverend C. David Morgan officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to National Alliance Mental Illness Stark County, 121 Cleveland Avenue, SW, Canton, Ohio 44702.
