Marjorie Marie Lynch passed away February 25, 2017. Born March 3, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, to Helene and Henry Lenke, she attended St. Martha's grade school and North High school. She met her future husband, Thomas Lynch, in a St. Vincent theater group and they married in 1944. Together they established Bi-Rite Market and Alisa Florists, businesses that endured over 50 years. Marjorie was responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the businesses, while raising five children at home in her spare time. The family moved to Lake Cable in Canton in 1961, where they hosted many memorable picnics, reunions and parties. They were also active long time members of St. Michael's parish. Marjorie, known for her generous and gentle spirit, was a peacemaker among family and friends. She was an avid bridge player and enthusiastic traveler, and known for her delightful letters. A devout Catholic and devoted mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by Thomas Lynch, her husband of 51 years. She is survived by her children Maureen Lynch (Richard), Lisa Sweeney (Thomas), Thomas A Lynch (Diane), Stephanie Welsh (Michael) and Richard Lynch; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her brother, Richard Lenke, predeceased her. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Donald King as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the church.
