Martin "Marty" Gursky, age 80, died Tuesday. He was a life resident of Canton, the owner of Marty's Aluminum and then worked in construction in Florida until his retirement. Marty was a pilot and enjoyed trap shooting, the outdoors and was an avid golfer. Survived by his daughter, Rose Schleappi of Sarasota, Florida, son, Dan (Gail) Gursky of Mineral City, grandsons, Jake and Sam Schleappi and Blake and Grant Gursky, sisters, Vera Fabinak, Pauline (Jack) Briggs and Anna Kammer all of Canton and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister, Julie Gursky and brother, Mark Gursky. The family would like to thank the staff at Country Lawn Nursing Home for their special care. Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
