Mary Anne Fearon
On January 12, 2021 Mary Anne Fearon, loving wife and mother of five children passed away at age 87.
Mary Anne was born on January 5, 1934 in Canton, Ohio to John and Mary McArdle. A life long resident of Canton, she was a graduate of St. John's grade school, Central Catholic High School, and Notre Dame College. She was a fourth grade teacher at St Peter's before starting her own family. On December 31, 1955 Mary Anne married John Fearon and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Mary Anne had a passion for volunteering in her community. She was a long time member of St. Michael Catholic Church and active in the Guild. She was also involved with theTimken-Mercy Service League, Walsh College Women's Committee, served lunches at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, and delivered meals to those in need via the Meals on Wheels program. Mary Anne also thoroughly enjoyed serving for over 3 decades on the HOF Fashion Show Luncheon Committee.
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her father, John, mother, Mary, and husband, John. She is survived by sister Jacqueline Kor of Canton, daughter Mary Patricia and son-in-law Thomas Lorman of Centerville, son Michael and daughter-in-law Norma Jean of Massillon, daughter Colleen of Canton, daughter Maureen and son-in-law Brian Barringer of Columbus, and son Blake and daughter-in-law Debbie of Massillon. Mary Anne was blessed with 5 grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A devout Catholic, may Mary Anne rest in peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his Holy Mother, Mary knowing her life positively impacted others and left this world a better place.
We would like to thank the Sisters and staff at the House of Loreto, Mercy Medical Center, and Altercare Nobles Pond for all the loving care and support provided to Mary Anne. A heartfelt thank you to Sister Carolyn Capauno for the comforting prayers offered in Mary Anne's final hours.
Private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, followed by Christian Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the House of Loreto.
