MARY LOU SCHOENEMAN

Mary Lou Schoeneman, age 89, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. She was born in Wintersville, Ohio on April 2, 1933, daughter of the late Jackson and Mary (Gump) Hinerman. Mary Lou was the youngest of 12 and was predeceased by her siblings.

She was a 1951 graduate of Carrollton High School. In 1952, she married her husband Robert "Bob" Schoeneman, who predeceased Mary Lou in death, June 16, 1982.

A caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, family was important to Mary Lou and her grandchildren were the loves of her life. She was a long-time member of Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, games with her grandchildren and water aerobics at the North Canton YMCA.

Mary Lou's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive; daughters, Kelly (John) Warner, Susan (Jerry) Steiner; son, Bob Schoeneman; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Audrey, and John Warner, Megan and Michael Schoeneman, Emily (Darin) Aldridge, and Matthew (Lynn) Schoeneman; great-grandchildren Caroline and Jack Aldridge, step-grandchildren Linde (Helen) Steiner and Desiree (Paul) Boldi; step-great-grandchildren, Preston Steiner and Brooklyn Boldi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mary Lou's wishes, services will take place privately. In her memory, the family kindly requests Memorial Contributions to Congregational United Church of Christ, 1530 Easton Street, Canton, OH 44721.
