MARY E. STOKLEY (nee Wamsley)

Mary E. Stokley, age 58, passed away September 26, 2023. She was born April 9, 1965, in Canton, Ohio to loving parents, Harold and Ruth (Kelly) Wamsley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth, and her sister Sally Wamsley.

Mary was a graduate of McKinley High School, and furthered her education at Kent State, earning her bachelor's degree. She also attended Eastern Michigan University. Mary was faithful Christian, and also earned a degree at Rhema Bible College. She regularly attended Faith Family Church. "Mary loved her coffee!"

Mary has and will always be a light that sparks goodness into the world. She was a kind, fun-loving person, enjoying photography, writing, nature, and the outdoors. She will be lovingly remembered by her wife of seven years, Renee Stokley; father Harold Wamsley, sister, Kathy Wamsley; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Kelly Cook (Vincent Riley), Ruth Walker (Joshua Eastep), Micheala Wamsley, Montae Wamsley, and Malcolm Cook. She will also be missed by many caring friends and extended family.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, from

1 pm to 2pm, and the service will start at 2pm at Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton. David Brown, pastor of Akron Trinity United Church of Christ, will serve as officiant.
