MARY K. ZEITZ

Mary Kathleen Zeitz, 57, of Canton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, February 6, 2023, surrounded in love. She was born in Canton, Ohio, April 11, 1965 to Mary P. (Bordner) Zeitz and the late James R. Zeitz.

Kathy, as she was known to all who knew and loved her, enjoyed nature, museums, and reading. Her artistic talent and passion was being a poet and drawing abstract images. She shared these with those she loved and would leave her work at the park or library to brighten the day of whomever would find them. She loved her family very much. Her dad and grandma Humphrey will forever hold her in their arms in Heaven.

Leaving a trail of wonderful memories are those who survive; her mother, Mary P. Zeitz; sisters, Patty (Steve) Swinehart, Julie (Stuart) Beddie; niece, Lia Swinehart and nephew, Grant Swinehart; lifelong friend, Kathy Ryan Miller; and the very special staff and family at her residential care home.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Sunday, February 12, 2023 from Noon to 2:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton. The service for Kathy will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, 627 McKinley Avenue, NW, Canton, with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan, S.T.L. serving as Celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery.
