Marylou J. Brunner, 91 of North Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. She was born on December 7,1933 to the late Walter and Adella (Adele) Backus in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Marylou was first and foremost a devoted wife to her late husband, Lawrence (Larry). Her greatest accomplishment was her devotion to him that grew into a marriage of nearly 60 years and the family that flowed naturally from it. When she wasn't enjoying time with her family and their many adventures, Marylou engaged her natural talent as an interior decorator and succeeded as a licensed realtor.

She is survived by her loving children: Lawrence (Elaine) Brunner Jr of Canton, Ohio, Mary Susan (Thomas) Kruse of Wheatridge, Colorado, Paul (Sandy) Brunner of North Canton, Ohio, Anthony (Angelia) Brunner of Canton, Ohio, and Maryanne (Patrick) Hanratta of Mogadore, Ohio. She is a grandmother to Bradey (Molly), Brendan, Tiffany, Amanda (Spencer), Jessica, Katie, Justin (Ariel), Joseph, James, Andrea, Rebekah and Kristina. She is a great grandmother to Boston, Violet, Cash and Melody. Marylou leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

The family sincerely thanks Cleveland Clinic Mercy ICU and Mercy Hospice for providing great care and dignity to Marylou in her last days.
