NANCY J. CHARLESTON

Nancy J. Charleston, 84, passed from this life to eternal life, April 18, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio in 1940, to her late parents, John and Alice (Schlegel) Charleston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, David and Roger.

A lifelong Canton resident, she graduated from Timken Mercy School of Practical Nursing. She was a retired LPN from the Veterans' Administration. Nancy was a member of Mercy Senior Friends, NARFE, and Primetime. She volunteered at her church, Mercy Medical Center, enjoyed crafts, and loved her pets. Nancy was a woman of deep faith.

Nancy is survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra; nieces, Sara Charleston (Don Battershell), Amy Patton (Ken); and many, whose lives she touched in a special way. The family would like to thank the staff at The Canton Regency for the exceptional care they provided Nancy over the nearly six years she resided there. In addition, Crossroads Hospice was amazing in their care for her in her final days.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, with the service beginning at 12:00 PM. Chaplain Glenn Nestlerode will serve as officiant. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Canton.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or Crossroads Hospice.
