NELLIE AAZURA BOWERS

Nellie Aazura Bowers crossed over on May 12, 2023. She was born April 13, 1955. Aazura was a bright beautiful star in the lives of all her family and friends. She was the first female AP canine drug enforcement unit officer in the U.S. Air Force. Aaz's door and heart was always open to anyone in need.

She was a long-time member of the Rangers, Santa's Angels, R & J Leather, and the Iron Eagles. She has helped raise money over the years for many charities. If the call went out to come perform or help raise money for someone, she was the first one to step up. She loved being on the stage making people laugh and smile. Her greatest joy in life was her family, both blood and chosen. She cherished her children and grandchildren whom she loved, adored, and doted on. Her joy, smile and laughter were infectious. She taught us all what the true meaning of total acceptance and love is.

Aazura was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Cearfoss; brother, John Cearfoss; son, Jeffrey Roberts; and brother of the heart, Robert Young. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Mikkal Bowers; her daughters, Brandy (Scott) Walsh and Payge (Nathan) Bowers; sons, Bill (Amy) Kirkwood, Eyan Bowers, and stepson, Josh (Joy) Mcoy; her grandchildren, Mersades (Brandon) Walsh, Aliyiah Kirkwood, Antwayn Kirkwood, Peter Morrison, Anthony, Matthew and Mirand McCoy, Brady Price; five great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Kleck; and her sisters and brothers of her heart, Julia "Tink" Underwood, Heather Coto, Joseph "Rocky" McCombs, Christopher Reed; and many friends. She will be truly missed.
