Norma Jean Boscia

May 30, 1930 — August 9, 2020

Norma Jean Boscia, age 90, passed peacefully in to the arms of her Savior August 9, 2020. Daughter of Carl Dittmar and Katherine Kimball, she was born May 30, 1930 and lived in Canton all her life. Norma Jean loved being a homemaker and was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed gardening and talking to her neighbors that would stop to admire her beautiful flowers. She was always caring for other by visiting, running errands and sending cards. She took many family members into her home caring for them until the end of their lives. A member of Saint Paul Catholic Church in North Canton, her church life and faith were very important to her. She was very active and involved in parish life where she was always volunteering. She will especially be missed by her dog Joey. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Carl Dittmar Jr. who died in World War II and her loving husband, Leonard Boscia. Norma is survived by her children Gale (Carolyn) George of Tuscon, Arizona, Susan (Robert) Dillon of Alliance and Christopher (Elizabeth) George of Canton, four grandchildren Elizabeth Fesch, Erin Johnson, Nathan George and Michael George and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone at Saint Joseph Senior Care in Louisville for lovingly caring for Norma for the last year of her life. A special thank you to Billie Harrold that loved and cared for her like her own family. Billie stayed by her side near the end when current circumstances kept the family from being with her. We would also like to thank Crossroads Hospice for being there for her and her family. They made her passing more peaceful. Friends may call Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) with the Reverend John Keehner, JCL as celebrant. A webcast of the Mass will be at https://boxcast.tv/view/boscia-funeral-224834. Private burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
