PATRICIA MCCOURRY

Patricia McCourry, age 83, was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother and a generous aunt and friend, who will be missed as she entered her Heavenly home on May 24, 2023.

She graduated from Timken High School and entered the workforce at the Ohio Power Company. She later worked for the Canton City School System, sharing her gregarious and positive nature with everyone.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Preceptor Gamma Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Senior Sing, and the Timken Alumni Association. She is known for her "signature" cakes, beautiful crocheted afghans, and her love of family, friends, and flowers.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Stella and John Granchi and is survived by her husband, Charles McCourry; brother, Ron Granchi; sister, Marsha Caiazza (Thomas). Her children are Christopher McCourry (Maurine), Laura Rossiello (Michael), and Constance Hernandez (Raul). Patricia was very fond of her six grandchildren, Nicolas, Alexia, Luke, Erica, Dominic, and Stella.

A celebration of her life will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 2427 Tuscarawas St., W, Canton, on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 9:30 am. The family will be receiving guests from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Father Tom Bishop will preside.

In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the food pantry at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
