Patrick R. Swihart, age 74 died Tuesday June 1, 2021 of an apparent heart attack. Born September 16, 1946 at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Attended Saint John the Baptist Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1964. He was an Eagle Scout and was elected to Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow. He was a US Navy veteran attaining the rank of Aviation Electrician First Class and served with Fighter Squadron 41 aboard the USS Independence. He was a 1973 apprentice graduate of the Hoover Company as a journeyman electrician. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service as a Plant Engineering Manager at the Walton Hills Stamping Plant. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Linda S., his parents Margaret M. and Raymond T. Swihart, two infant brothers Michael and Brian, sister Susan "Suzy" Pallottini and grandparents William F. and Irene G. Camp. Survived by his daughters, Melissa Stevenson and Mary Swihart, grandchildren, Julian Stevenson and Kaleel George all of Canton, sisters, Kathleen Dunbar of Navarre and Laura (David) Blecker of Mesa, Arizona and a brother, Timothy (Patty) Swihart of Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Burial in Saint John Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
