PAUL E. DAVIS

Paul E. Davis, 88, of Canton, Ohio, passed away in the early morning of December 27, 2022. He was born in Doddridge County, West Virginia January 5, 1934, to parents, Archie and Talva (Maxine) Davis, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Davis; brothers, Archie and Ernest Davis; second wife, Emma Davis; and grandson, Jonathon Davis.

He worked as a brake operator for 30 years at Republic Steel and was known for being a skilled mechanic for everyone and anyone who needed his skill Paul was known a self-sacrificer, putting the needs of others, always, before his own. He was consistently dependable. He was a member of the Canton Church of God of Prophecy for 45 plus years.

Paul leaves a trail of loving memories to those who survive; daughters, Paula Davis of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Darlene (Steve) Cummings of Canton; sons, Rodney Davis, George Davis, Elmon (Paula) Davis all of Canton; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Sanctuary Church of God, 6535 Maplebrook Street, NE, East Canton, Ohio, where the service for Paul will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Pastor Steve Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
