Paul Harold Kohl, age 77, passed away Saturday after a lengthy battle with illnesses. He was a life resident of the Massillon/Canton area, had worked at Perry Rubber, Kraft Foods, retired from the Ohio Department of Liquor Control and then in retirement worked at Heggy's Nut Shop. Paul was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Spanish American Men's Club and served in the Ohio Army National Guard. Survived by his wife, Gloria (Vega) Kohl, daughters, Julie (Joseph) Strancar of Canton, Susan (Tyrone) Hobson of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jackie (Richard – deceased) Wilson of Minerva, son, Paul (Melanie) Kohl Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, grandchildren, Brien (Paige) and Daniel Strancar, Katie (Peter) Laakso, Christopher and Kaila Kohl, Kelvin Harper, Jarvis Hobson, Danyelle (Derek) James and Jake Wilson, great-grandchildren, Aubrianna and Carter James and brother, David (Elaine) Kohl of Massillon. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Kohl and seven siblings. All are welcomed to a celebration of his life on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating.
