Paul D. Prosser

Paul D. Prosser, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 19, 1947 in Dover, Ohio, he lived a life filled with devotion, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys. Affectionately, Paul was known to family and friends as “Dave.”

A lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, Paul could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers, sharing race-day excitement with friends and family. His passion for the sport was matched only by his unwavering love for those closest to him. Whether at the track, in the garage, or around the dinner table, he brought people together with his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage with his own cars.

Above all, Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His greatest pride was his family, and his legacy will live on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy Prossser; daughter, Shandra (Lenny) Bigler; son, Paul (Heather) May; grandchildren, Daryl, Dugan, Baron, Dragana, and Bella; and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Davina. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Thelma (Borden) Prosser; and sisters, Marsha Porter and Sharon Taylor.

Care for Paul and his family has been provided by Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton.
