Pauline Briggs, 94, passed away peacefully after a long and full life. Born and raised in Canton, she remained a lifelong resident, deeply rooted in the community she loved.

From a young age, she embraced an active and adventurous spirit. She played volleyball with enthusiasm and became an avid figure skater, gliding across the ice with the grace and determination that would define her life. Her love of the outdoors was constant—whether tending to her garden, spending quiet mornings fishing, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature around her. Her hands were rarely still, always nurturing something—flowers, family, or friendships

Her faith was a guiding force. As a devoted and active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, she gave her time, energy, and kindness generously. Her presence there was steady, cherished, and touched many.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Jack Briggs of Canton and Michael Briggs of Tampa, Florida; granddaughters, Courtney and Brittany Briggs; and great‑grandchildren, Layla Hanson and Jackson Briggs, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy; and sister, Anna Kammer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Briggs; her parents, Artumus and Helena Gursky; brothers, Mark and Martin Gursky; and sisters, Julie Gursky and Vera Fabinack.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her resilience, and the vibrant way she approached every chapter of her life. Her family and friends will hold her memory close and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.
