PAULINE EVELYN PICKERING

After gracing this world for 90 years, Pauline Evelyn Pickering, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on January 26, 2023. She was born on July 26, 1932 in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late John Edwin and Mabel Lucille (Brittain) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William, with whom she shared 43 years; and her brothers, Warren and Harry.

A member of Fairmount United Presbyterian Church for 65 plus years. Pauline's faithfulness was easily seen in her devotion to her family. She worked in the cafeteria at McKinley High School and was a member of the Eastern Star. She truly enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother; and sister. Her family was her life, her happiness, her everything.

Pauline's memory will be cherished by those who survive; daughter, Janet (Lee) Hartline; son, Jerry Pickering; grandchildren, Seth (Tamara), Amanda, Heather, Jennifer (George), and Kaylee (Jeff); eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons; sisters, Donna Jean McVay, Betty Opiela, Dorothy (Norman) Reynolds, Marilyn (Dan) Stambaugh; and brothers, Wilson Smith and Robert (Kay) Smith.

Visitation for family and friends will be held, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the service immediately following at 1:00 PM., North Canton Church of Christ. Rod Stockdale will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, North Canton, Ohio.
